S. E. Haydon's April 19, 1897, report in the Dallas Morning News told of an airship hitting Judge J. S. Proctor's windmill on April 17. It said the pilot was not of this world and was buried here. It sits in the 1896-97 airship wave and is widely treated as a hoax.
